About IGFEJ

Who we are

The Institute for Financial and Estate Management of Judicial Services is a public institution, with administrative and financial autonomy and its own patrimony, under oversight and guardianship of the Ministry of Justice.
It was created in 2012, and integrates indirect administration by the State and has jurisdiction in throughout the national territory. It assumes a vital role in the Ministry of Justice, providing fundamental services for the proper functioning of the judicial system. The IGFEJ is active in all areas of the Ministry of Justice, namely budgetary and financial, patrimonial and construction, technological infrastructure, and information systems.

The IGFEJ has the following responsibilities:
•    Financial and budgetary management of the Ministry of Justice;
•    Monitoring of procedural costs and judicial support;
•    Ensuring the management and maintenance of the asset of the Ministry of Justice; 
•    Management, stimulation and development of information systems and strengthening of judicial technological infrastructures.
